MSI's Carrara White brings the soft gray veining of classic Italian Carrara, the gold standard of white marble to a polished marble surface. Marble is a metamorphic stone formed when limestone is subjected to heat and pressure; its calcium carbonate body takes a high polish but is softer than granite and reactive to acids. It scores 3 to 4 on the Mohs scale and develops a natural patina over time that many designers prize. A penetrating sealer is applied at install and renewed every 1 to 2 years; clean only with mild non-acidic soap to preserve the polish. Available through Fair Marble's Bridgeport, CT showroom; we keep slabs in our yard and ship statewide with white-glove fabrication and install.
