1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make sites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide analytics about how visitors use a site.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the Site to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as submitting a form or filling in details.
Performance and analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the Site: which pages you visit, how long you stay, and how you arrived. This is not anonymous. Google assigns your browser an identifier and receives your IP address, so the data is personal data even though we never see your name in it. These cookies load unless you opt out.
Advertising cookies
We advertise on Google and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and we need to know which of those ads produce real enquiries. Unless you opt out, we load the Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag. They record your visit and, if you submit one of our forms, the fact that you did, so the ad you clicked can be credited. Our server sends Meta and Google a matching record of that submission, with your contact details converted into irreversible hashed values first. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly which fields are involved.
If you choose “Reject non-essential”, none of this happens. The tags are never loaded and the server sends nothing to Meta or Google.
Functionality cookies
These remember choices you make, such as your saved measurement worksheet draft or your answer to the cookie banner, so you are not asked twice. They are stored locally in your browser and never sent to us.
Third-party cookies
Some of our pages embed widgets from third parties that may set their own cookies, including:
- Elfsight (Google Reviews and Instagram Feed widgets)
- Google Maps (showroom location embed)
- YouTube / Vimeo (if any video is embedded)
These third parties may use cookies to track usage across websites. Their cookie practices are governed by their own policies.
3. Managing cookies
The quickest way is on this site. The banner appears on your first visit, and the Cookie settingslink in the footer brings it back whenever you want to change your answer. Choosing “Reject non-essential” stops the analytics and advertising tools from loading at all, rather than loading them and asking them to behave.

Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site, including the inability to save measurement worksheet drafts or display embedded review and Instagram feeds.
4. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser level opt out signal with an agreed specification. We honour it. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a rejection of non-essential cookies, we do not load the analytics or advertising tools, and we do not show you the banner, because you have already answered.
The older “Do Not Track” (DNT) header is different. It never got an agreed standard for what a site should do in response, and our Site does not act on it. Use GPC or the banner instead.
5. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the most recent version.
